Amanda Walton: Why I'm taking on 'The Challenge' this year....

Several years ago, while I was living in Kenya, God inspired the Dollar-A-Day Challenge. I had no idea at the time how much the challenge would change my life. This experience transformed the way I view God’s Kingdom and I AM FOREVER CHANGED.   Every year around Valentine’s Day I choose to re-live the challenge with a week of fasting and praying for those living on $1 a day.  The week serves as a reminder of the journey that brought me to a better understanding of who God is and His abundant provision.  He truly is all we need.

This year I will also be using the challenge as a fundraising opportunity for Climb20. Climb20 is a charity climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro to benefit International Sports Federation. Over the last 10 years I’ve been on several international mission trips with this organization and I’m so thankful for their role in shaping my heart for missions. Climb20 is my way of giving back to an organization that’s impacted my life.  My goal is to raise $10,000 for ISF by June and summit Mt. Kilimanjaro on June 10th with the Climb20 team.   If you would like to be a part of this journey, please consider partnering with us financially. Each donation is tax deductible and will be channeled through
